Features of the humus composition of soils of the upper ob basin russian sfsr ussr

Features of the humus composition of soils of the upper ob basin russian sfsr ussr

Izvestiya Sibirskogo Otdeleniya Akademii Nauk SSSR Seriya Biologicheskikh Nauk (3): 41-44

The process of humus accumulation and humification are most developed in the main soil type of floodplain, floodplain meadow and in related meadow-marsh soil. During an increase or a decrease in the degree of moisture, floodplain soil is depleted of humus and humic acids, and is enriched with the most mobile fractions of fulvo acids. The degree of condensation of humus decreases. The humus composition of buried horizons indicated that buried soils belong to the meadow type.
