Fluorescein angiography of the optic disc and visual field in simple glaucoma at the initial stage

Fluorescein angiography of the optic disc and visual field in simple glaucoma at the initial stage

Bollettino di Oculistica 60(11-12): 863-871

Fluorescein angiography was used for the diagnosis of vascularization of the optic disc in initial open-angle glaucoma: the results were compared with visual field defects. Of 49 [human] eyes examined, a significant connection was found in 9 cases (18.4%). The reasons for this low percentage are discussed and the current limits of the examination are underlined.
