Forms of phosphorus in kachhar soils of districts deoria and gorakhpur in alluvial soils of eastern uttar pradesh india

Soil P in Kachhar soils was fractionated and correlated with physico-chemical properties. In comparison to other forms of soil P, Ca-P predominates. Available P was significantly and positively correlated with saloid bound P, A1-P, occluded A1-P, pH and illite. Saloid bound P was also correlated significantly with pH and illite. Organic P constituted considerable proportion of total P; there was a significant positive correlation between organic P and organic matter.
