Fractionation of sophora japonica 1. yields and composition of juices protein concentrate and press cake extracted from twigs leaves and pods

Dry matter extraction ratio was 26% in the juice and amounted to 42 kg/1000 kg of initial biomass in the PC[complete protein concentrate]; yield of crude protein in the PC reached 0.72 g/100 g of the initial biomass. The initial biomass and the press cake had high dry matter content: 33.84% and 32.65% respectively. the neutral detergent fiber (NDF) and acid detergent fiber (ADF) were low (39.03% and 30.84%, respectively) in the press cake. Total N non-protein N nitric N and crude ash were, respectively, 9%, 28%, 71% and 20% lower and NDF and ADF 27% higher in the press cake as compared with the initial biomass. Relatively high amounts of NDF (6.07%) and of ADF (4.35) were detected in the juice, which also gave a high content of ether extract (10.05%). Crude protein content in the PC dry matter was very low (15.87%). One the other hand ether extract (18.04%) especially total lipids, which amounted to 69% of the dry matter, were high.
