Functional features of the cardio vascular system and its regulatory mechanisms in swimmers as dependent on the initial state of autonomic nervous system

Functional features of the cardio vascular system and its regulatory mechanisms in swimmers as dependent on the initial state of autonomic nervous system

Fiziologiya Cheloveka 8(6): 950-956

The functional features of the cardiovascular system were studied in 12-23 yr-old male swimmers. The regulatory mechanisms of the circulatory system in swimmers improved with age and as did their athletic skills. Statistically, the total level of cardiac rhythm under load and during recovery decreased, heart rate increased and recovery increased. Maximum heart rate, pulse value of work per second, pulse value of recovery per second and coefficient K increased under all the loads. Therefore, control of the types of circulatory system regulation at rest may be used as a method of controlling the adaptation level to muscular exertion in male swimmers.
