Line IAR 22 of rat hepatocytes is tumorigenic and contains isozymes I and III of branched chain amino acid transaminase (EC 2.6.1.42). Nontumorigenic line PC-1 contains only isozyme I, and isozyme III is not acquired on transformation with N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine.
