Genetic analysis of spike characters of 2 rowed barley mutant induced from the 6 rowed cultivar giza 117

Genetic analysis of spike characters of 2 rowed barley mutant induced from the 6 rowed cultivar giza 117

Ain Shams University Faculty of Agriculture Research Bulletin (1905): 1-10

A 2-rowed mutant was induced by .gamma. irradiation of the 6-rowed cv. Giza-117. The mutant has a characteristic feature of high yield compared with its mother variety, due to increase in number of spikes per plant and grain weight by 69.18 and 13.25%, respectively.
