Biologicheskii Zhurnal Armenii 33(10): 1067-1072



Some scarce essential-oil plants (rose, geranium, Citrus, sorghum, Eugenia, Basilicum, Vetiveria), medicinal plants (Aloe, Valeriana, Solanum) and dye-bearing plants (Henna) were grown hydroponically. These are of higher productivity (3-6 times) exceeding that of soil-grown plants and accumulate valuable raw materials (essential-oil, alkaloids, dyes).
