Compared with a control group, workers engaged in primary flax processing showed an increased incidence of diseases of the respiratory organs, cardiovascular system, vision and skin. The incidence of these diseases increased with length of work in flax processing. In prophylactic examinations, special attention should be paid to the condition of the respiratory organs, nervous system and vision.
