Histochemical study of mast cell changes and alkaline phosphatase activity in urticaria pigmentosa

Histochemical study of mast cell changes and alkaline phosphatase activity in urticaria pigmentosa

Dermatologica (Basel) 153(6): 352-356

Five cases of urticaria pigmentosa in patients of different ages and of both sexes were studied for mast cell changes and alkaline phosphatase activity. Mast cells were very rich in the enzyme as indicated by the black color after the Gomori's stain.
