Histological classification and nomenclature of mammary gland tumors

Based on morphological study of over 5000 tumors a histological classification scheme was proposed for tumors and tumor-like processes of the mammary gland in humans. Primary tumors include benign and malignant epithelial tumors, nonepithelial tumors, micellaneous tumors and unclassified tumors. Secondary tumors (metastatic tumors of varying histogenesis) include tumor-like processes.
