Abstract
A glycoprotein was found in chicken egg white and chicken embryo plasma which is identical, antigenically, with chicken .alpha.1-acid glycoprotein (.alpha.1-SGP), an acute phase reactant protein. The egg white protein presents the same migration as .alpha.1-SGP in acrylamide gel and in agarose. Glycosylation patterns as revealed by immunoaffinoelectrophoresis are identical for the 2 proteins.
