By experimental androgenesis with haploid and triploid D. inoxia, plants with n, 2n, 3n, 4n and a small number of aneuploids were obtained. Aneuploid spores following meiosis in plants with an odd number of chromosomes undergo induction but their chromosome constitution does not allow normal cytodifferentiation.
