Infection of cultivars of onion leek garlic and allium fistulosum by sclerotium cepivorum

In 2 field experiments on land severely infested with S. cepivorum large differences in the incidence of white rot in 4 Allium spp. were recorded. There was much less disease in cultivars of leek [A. porrum] than in those of onion [A. cepa], garlic [A. sativum] or A. fistulosum. Differences between cultivars within species were either small or absent.
