Influence of iaa on iaa oxidase activity in winter wheat and maize seedlings under conditions of osmotic stress

Influence of iaa on iaa oxidase activity in winter wheat and maize seedlings under conditions of osmotic stress

Acta Agrobotanica 32(1): 101-108

IAA-oxidase activity was determined in etiolated 7 day old winter wheat leaves of the variety Grana and in maize leaves of the variety KbDc-310. IAA applied before seeding (1.10-5 M) apparently depressed IAA-oxidase activity in the roots and shoots of cereals tested under conditions of mannitol osmotic stress (-4.84 bar and -9.68 bar).
