Inheritance of wheat grain protein and lysine in interspecific crossings

Soobshcheniya Akademii Nauk Gruzinskoi SSR 79(1): 157-159

A study of the inheritance of protein and lysine content in wheat grain of interspecific hybrid F1 showed that in crossings of autochthonous soft wheats of 'Georgia-Dolis puri 35-4', 'Teiri ipkli' ([Triticum durum?] var. erythrospermum) 'Tsiteli ipkli' (var. ferrugineum) and 'Khulugo' (var lutescens) with 'Tserulescence 19/28' (var. coerulescens) durum wheats and of the same cultivars with T. turgidum var. striatum, superdominance in terms of the protein content was noted. For lysine content, superdominance or inheritance of intermediate character was found.
