Insect pheromones and their analogs 7. synthesis of the sex pheromone of fruit flies ceratitis capitata

Insect pheromones and their analogs 7. synthesis of the sex pheromone of fruit flies ceratitis capitata

Khimiya Prirodnykh Soedinenii (6): 750-752

A new effective 2-stage synthesis route for sex pheromone of C. capitata was proposed. It is based on the simple transformations of (E)-1-phenoxy-2,7-octadiene, an available cooligomer of butadiene and phenol.
