Interaction of cyto kinins and auxins in the regulation of apical dominance in pea buds pisum sativum

Interaction of cyto kinins and auxins in the regulation of apical dominance in pea buds pisum sativum

Acta Biologiae et Medicinae Experimentalis 2(1): 13-18

The effect of exogenous kinetin on the level of endogenous auxins in pea under conditions of apical dominance was studied. In the buds released from inhibition by decapitation the level of endogenous auxins increases compared to control plants with low auxin concret. Treatment of the plants with kinetin causes certain increase in the content of endogenous auxins. A correlation apparently exists between kinetin concentration and induction of the increase in the auxins level in inhibited cotyledonary pea buds.
