Laboratory colonization of anopheles multicolor under controlled conditions of temperature and humidity diptera culicidae

Laboratory colonization of A. multicolor under controlled conditions of temperature and humidity was studied. Larvae of A. multicolor can be successfully reared in clay pots of 10 cm diameter and 3.5 cm depth containing tap water to which soil obtained from a natural breeding locality was added. Adults can be successfully reared in wooden cages 30 .times. 30 .times. 30 cm, kept at a temperature of 25 .+-. 0.5.degree. C and 70 .+-. 5% relative humidity.
