Multi locational behavior of protein and lysine contents in high yielding wheat varieties newly bred in india

Multi locational behavior of protein and lysine contents in high yielding wheat varieties newly bred in india

Acta Agronomica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae 27(1-2): 96-107

Varieties need to be judged on their stability and adaptability over a range of environments as well as on their average performance. The purpose of these trials was to select the most suitable varieties for different zones from a number of competing entries. Variation due to location was statistically more important than variation due to variety for both protein and lysine content. Some lines with medium lysine content are preferable to high content lines with lower stability and adaptability.
