New chromosome numbers for species of the genus cirsium section cirsium growing in the armenian ssr ussr

Chromosome numbers (2n = 34) for 4 spp. and 5 varieties from the section Cirsium were determined for the 1st time. The species were the following: C. dealbatum Bieb. and C. cf dealbatum Bieb from the subsection Cirsium, C. elodes Bieb., C. elodes Bieb. var. petrolatus Tamamsch., C. cf elodes Bieb., C. elodes Bieb ssp. setigerum (Led.) Tamamsch., C. rhabdolepis Petrak var. nana Tamamsch., C. cf rhabdolepis Petrak f. nana Tamamsch. and C. subinerme Fisch. et C. A. Mey. from the subsection Ortocentrum (Cass.) Charadze.
