Abstract
The female H. lichenatus lays a pair of egg sacs in the breeding season. On April 13 of 1976, 119 egg sacs of this species were collected among the hills of Tagami-Mura, Niigata Prefecture [Japan], .apprx. 60m above sea level. Each egg sac contained 9-31 eggs (average 17).
