The effects of 3 soil moisture regimes (irrigation given at 75, 50 and 25% depletion of available soil moisture) and 3 P levels (30, 60 and 90 kg P2O5/ha) and their interactions on N, P and K content and uptake in cow-peas (Vigna sinesis Endt.) was studied. Wetter irrigation regimes (irrigation given when the available soil moisture was depleted 25-50%) increased N and K uptake. Interaction between soil moisture regimes and P levels was significant with respect to N, P and K content and their uptake.
