On the genetic mechanisms of the formation and variability of homeostasis parameters in crop varieties

Strong lability of yield homeostatic parameters was found experimentally in the same maize hybrid, according to sowing period. This indicates that evaluation of ecological stability of a variety should not be considered a constant (testimonial) charcteristics of the genotype. it is impossible to interpret lability of homeostatic parameters by the conventional Fisher-Mazer-Right-Lash model-the basis of modern genetics of quantity traits. Lability of parameters is interpreted here in the light of a new model of ecological and genetical control of productivity traits. Also, new approaches to prognosis of parameter shift under different environmental conditions are developed.
