Ophthalmic traumatology of the child statistical analysis of 240 cases

The Author examined 240 cases of children's (up to 12 years old) ophthalmic traumatology admitted to Department of Ophthalmology of University of Pavia, [Italy] from 1970 to 1986. Of every case they observed the causal agents or events, the ocular consequences, the surgical measure undertaken, the complications and the visual recovery at occurred stabilization. The male children were statistically more affected with perforating traumas of the eyeball that determined the most serious clinical pictures and permitted a lower functional and anatomic restitutio and integrum.
