Yield was positively associated with number of capsules per plant, length of main fruiting branch and number of capsules on main fruiting branch at genotypic level. Significant negative association was observed for days to flower and yield. Path coefficient analysis revealed that number of capsules per plant, number of branches, length of main fruiting branch and capsules on main fruiting branch showed direct positive effect on grain yield. The maximum direct effect was observed for number of capsules on main fruiting branch. Plant height and days to flower showed negative direct effect on grain yield.
