A new species of pontoniine shrimp, P. kororensis, from Koror, Western Caroline Islands [Pacific Ocean] is described. The single example, an ovigerous female lacking both 2nd pereiopods, was found in association with a scleractinian host, H. actiniformis. The species appears to be an aberrant member of the P. grandis species-group, and not closely related to any previously described species.
