Rat incidence and control in coconut-intercrop ecosystems were studied. Coconuts from 2 to 8 months old were damaged. Rattus rattus mindanensis Mearns was the only species found in the experimental area. Coumatetralyl-based rodenticide provided effective control of rat infestation on coconut and its intercrop regardless of the baiting method used. Economic analysis of the different treatments are discussed.
