The hybrids between P. fruticosa and P. avium as well as between P. cerasus and P. fruticosa show an intermediary pattern of phenolic acids when compared with the parents. This is especially true for the chlorogenic acids, ferulic acid, p-hydroxybenzoic acid and vanillic acid.
