Abstract
Physiobiochemical indices (length, mass, age, mean oocyte mass, muscle fat, blood and egg protein, blood lipids, blood cholesterol, the number of fish) were studied in female A. stellatus and A. guldenstadti from Taganrog Bay. The heterogeneity of the spawning stock with respect to these indices was shown. Spawners' preparedness for reproduction may be based on blood biochemical characteristics.
