Abstract
CMF polychemotherapy was used in patients with metastatic diffusion from breast cancer, and prophylactically in a group with axillary lymph node metastases ascertained at mastectomy. CMF is valuable in hindering the progression of breast cancer in advanced stages. Its use should be continued with prophylactic intent, although because of the small number of patients and the short observation time, final conclusions cannot be drawn.
