Preparation of different immuno sorbents and their use in isolating antigens and antibodies

, : Preparation of different immuno sorbents and their use in isolating antigens and antibodies. Voprosy Meditsinskoi Khimii 22(1): 127-136

Immunosorbent preparation methods using amminocellulose, Sephadexes, homo- and heterobifunctional reagents, bis-diazotized aromatic diamine hydrofluorides, glutaric aldehyde, formaldehyde, acrolein, antirat rabbit IgG [immunoglobulin G] and peroxidase-labeled rat IgG, glutaric aldehyde-bound, Escherichia coli, porous granulated glass, preactivated protein and hydrocarbon-containing gels were reviewed. Immunosorbents were used to determine rickettsiosis and ornithosis antigens and Ig and antibody-producing cells, to concentrate smallpox vaccine with the fluorescent antibody method, to isolate antibodies to E. coli and antitetanus antibodies from human blood serum and to detoxicate tetanus and diphtheria toxin. Some methods used normal human and rabbit .gamma.-globulin and bovine and rabbit serum albumin.
