Preparation of ethyl 1 aryl 2 2 pyridylethenylcarbamates and their biological activities

, : Preparation of ethyl 1 aryl 2 2 pyridylethenylcarbamates and their biological activities. Heterocycles (Tokyo) 23(2): 383-386

Anions of N-silylenamines, generated from 2-(trimethylsilylmethyl)pyridine and p-substituted benzonitriles in the presence of LDA [lithium di-isopropylamide], reacted with ethyl chloroformate to give a mixture of ethyl (E)- and (Z)-1-aryl-2-(2-pyridyl)ethenylcarbamates. Their insecticidal or fungicidal properties were evaluated.

The activity of fibroblast growth factor 2 (FGF-2) is stringently controlled. Inactive in undisturbed tissues, it is activated during injury and is critical for tissue repair. We find that this control can be imposed by the soluble syndecan-1 ecto...
