, : Preparation of horseradish peroxidase labeled horse anti human immunoglobulin e and survey of total serum immunoglobulin e by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay elisa. Bulletin of Hunan Medical College 9(3): 250-252

The method of labeling horseradish peroxidase on horse anti-human IgE (periodate coupling method), and the survey of total serum IgE level on 148 cases of healthy donors in Changsha, Hunan, China, by ELISA (double antibody sandwich method) is described. The arithmetic means of total serum IgE levels of youth and adult groups were 607.57 and 708.83 IU/ml, and the geometric means were 227.52 and 261.22 IU/ml, respectively. This data was lower than that reported in Singapore and India. The data of the 18-19 yr old young adult group agreed well with that reported in Beiging, but the data of > 20 yr old adult group was higher.
