Preparation of hybrid proteins from subunits of sesame 13s globulins and soybean 11s globulins and their molecular weights

, : Preparation of hybrid proteins from subunits of sesame 13s globulins and soybean 11s globulins and their molecular weights. Agricultural & Biological Chemistry 45(4): 809-816

Combination of the sesame acidic subunit (SesA) and the soybean cv. Tsuranoko basic subunit (SoyB) gave a 1(AB)-type intermediary subunit bound with disulfide linkages and a new 6(AB)-type hybrid protein which had a MW of 265,000 and a sedimentation constant of 9.6S in 20% glycerol. The combination of soybean acidic subunit (SoyA1 or SoyA2) and sesame basic subnit (SesB) gave only 1(AB)-type intermediary subunits. SoyA1-SoyB formed a 6(AB)-type protein whose MW was .apprx. 310,000.
