Preparation of microcapsules by fluid coating


, : Preparation of microcapsules by fluid coating. Acta Facultatis Pharmaceuticae Universitatis Comenianae 38: 5-20

In this work the problem of the preparation of microcapsules by fluid coating was studied using the apparatus constructed in our department. The wall of microcapsules was formulated with the compounds of different physical-chemical character from the group of natural and synthetic auxiliary materials: white wax, cetyl alcohol, kollidon VA 64, eudragit E, S. As a core of microcapsules ferrous fumarate and paracetamol were used. In the work the results of release of medicaments from microcapsules are given and the structure of microcapsules was demonstrated by scanning electron microscopy. It follows from the results that microcapsules with desired properties can be made using described apparatus.
