Preparation of mono specific immuno globulin to human leukocyte interferon

, : Preparation of mono specific immuno globulin to human leukocyte interferon. Byulleten' Eksperimental'noi Biologii i Meditsiny 86(11): 561-563

Donkeys were regularly, at 7-day intervals, immunized s.c. with human leukocyte interferon (IF) with the activity of 1.6 .times. 103 U[units]/10 ml. IF-neutralizing antibodies [Ab] at a titer of 1:128-1:256 were detected in the animals' sera after 38-40 injections. As a result of continuing injections the titer of these Ab increased considerably. The Ab to the components of the system in which the IF was obtained were revealed in parallel. Donkey anti-interferon plasma was prepared by plasmapheresis and anti-interferon immunoglobulin (AIFIG) was released from the plasma by centrifugation using (NH4)2SO4 at 50% saturation. Contaminating Ab were removed from AIFIG by affinity chromatography on a combined immunosorbent.
