As a result of testing in histological staining of blood with the purpose of parasitological diagnosis of malaria in humans, a modified method was recommended for the preparation of Romanovskii-Giemsa stain. The ingredients were Azure-eosine (after Romanovskii), glycerine and ethyl alcohol. Stain prepared by this method gave good results with respect to malaria, other blood parasites and other objects.
