Preparation of phosphorus 32 phosphatidyl choline and phosphorus 32 lyso phosphatidyl choline by using soybeans

, : Preparation of phosphorus 32 phosphatidyl choline and phosphorus 32 lyso phosphatidyl choline by using soybeans. Biochemical Journal 179(3): 713-714

A procedure for easily obtaining large amounts of [32P]phosphatidylcholine and [32P]lysophosphatidylcholine was described. The method involves germinating soya beans in the presence of [32P]Pi. The yield was 0.58% for [32P]phosphatidylcholine and 0.52% for [32P]lysophosphatidylcholine, and the specific radioactivity of both was 107 dpm/.mu.mol.
