Preparation of red cells coated with complement c 4 and complement c 3 sub components and production of anti complement c 4d and anti complement c 3d

, : Preparation of red cells coated with complement c 4 and complement c 3 sub components and production of anti complement c 4d and anti complement c 3d. Vox Sanguinis 31(4): 241-257

Methods of preparing [human, sheep or rabbit] red cells coated only with [human] C4b, C3b or C3d have been described; the present observations describe the optimal conditions for preparing such cells, and describe conditions for the preparation of cells carrying only C4d. The preparation of specific anti-C4d and anti-C3d sera is presented.
