A hypertonic salt soy-based medium with osmotic stabilizers, Mg (10 mM) and CA (25 mM) was optimal for producing stable protoplasts of S. griseus strain 68-31. The effective regeneration into mycelial forms occurred in a medium of the same composition with 20 mM Mg and 25 mM Ca.
