Production and study of starting material in productivity selection according to leaf blade area



Tsitologiya i Genetika 11(3): 246-249



Varietal differentiation was determined in durum and bread (soft) wheat by the leaf blade areas. Close correlation was found between leaf blade areas and yield for bread (r = 0.521-0.752) and durum (r = 0.587-0.778) wheat. In F1 hybrids inheritance of leaf blade area is the intermediate type; in F2 positive transgressions were observed in some cases.
