Prospects of tuna farming by france in the mediterranean sea antilles and polynesia

Prospects of tuna farming by France are discussed. The possibilities of farming Thunnus thynnus, T. alalunga, Katsuwonus pelamis, Euthynnus alletteratus, Auxis thazard, Sarda sarda and Orcynopsis unicolor in the western Mediterranean, farming of 7 spp. of tuna in the Antilles, and the development of French colony Polynesia for tuna farming are discussed.
