Raised creatine kinase b values following acute cerebral trauma

, : Raised creatine kinase b values following acute cerebral trauma. Ugeskrift for Laeger 149(12): 785-786

The immuno-inhibition method for estimation of creatine-kinase-isoenzyme-MB is extensively employed. A case history is presented to illustrate that increase in the serum activities of both creatine-kinase-MB and creatine-kinase-BB occurs in patients with acute cerebral damage. Both of these are determined as CK-B by means of the immuno-inhibition method which should, therefore, not be employed for estimation of creatine-kinase MB activity in patients of this type.
