Raising broiler chicks on combined fodder containing wheat and grass flour and using fodder fats of different composition

The effect of replacing maize grain in mixed food with wheat and grass meal supplemented by fodder animal fat and combined (fodder fat mixed with sunflower oil in ratio 3:1) fats on the growth of broilers, was studied. The substitution of wheat for maize grain increased the pullets weight at the age of 56 days to 1.5 kg and cockerels up to 1.9 kg (in controls, 1.43 and 1.71 kg respectively). When the mixed food containing fodder fat was used, the profitability of poultry meat production was reduced. When combined fat was included in the mixed food, it reduced the consumption of fodder per unit of gain, and produced a profit because of higher quality produce.
