Dense opacification of coronary arteries in pediatric coronary cineangiograms led to the observation of a small branch of the main septal artery that is directed into the right ventricle and gives a fan-shaped blush. This vessel passes through the moderator band and into the anterior papillary muscle, which anchors the anterior leaflet of the tricuspid valve. The vessel is named the ramus limbi dextri, or artery of the moderator band.
