Reaction of barley varieties to erysiphe graminis f sp hordei and to puccinia hordei in the mature stage

In 1976, 1977 and 1978 many barley varieties were tested in the adult stage against powdery mildew and leaf rust under naturally induced epidemics. All the entries listed were resistant to powdery mildew. Coefficients of infection for leaf rust of some entries were, with some exception, rather high. Few varieties expressed satisfactory resistance to both pathogens.
