Fifty four of 263 L. griseus (Linn.) examined from the Cubagua Island, Venezuela were infested with Lernaeolophus sp. The Lernaeolophus sp. reported herein closely resembles L. recurvus Wilson, 1913, and represents a new geographical distribution record. Three of 185 Lernaeolophus collected had also epizoic organisms on them. The occurrence of the bivalves Pteria colymbus, Ryenella lateralis, Pinctada sp., Crassostrea rhizophorae and Ostrea, and a cirripede Balanus trigonus on Lernaeolophus are all new records.
