Regulation of glutamate dehydrogenase activity in denervation induced hypertrophy of bufo melanostictus gastrocnemius muscle by cathodal and anodal polarity treatment
NAD+ dependent glutamate dehydrogenase (GDH) activity has been studied in the gastrocnemius muscle, liver, heart and brain tissues of toad, Bufo melanostictus under denervation hypertrophy followed by cathodal and anodal polarity treatment. GDH showed significant decrease in muscle and insignificant decrease in other tissues, and the decreased GDH activity levels were restored to normally by anodal polarity treatment.
