Clinical findings in 35 cases of Reiter's syndrome were reported. In 1/2 the cases the disease was associated with fever and in this group ankylosing sacroilitis was more frequent. In 1/2 of these cases the involvement of the sacroiliac joints was asymmetrical. Treatment with tetracycline was significantly more effective than balneotherapy, physiotherapy and kinesitherapy as well as non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs.
